The Edge - Entrance

The project transforms structure into experience, where movement through space becomes the architecture itself. Positioned within The Rise Resort overlooking Lake Okanagan, The Edge Restaurant & Bar and Rise Event Centre was conceived as a destination that merges landscape, architecture, and experience. The project was re-envisioned mid-development, transforming it into a cohesive hospitality environment anchored by engineered timber as its primary architectural language. Digitally fabricated glulam and CLT installations define the spatial identity of the project, guiding movement and shaping atmosphere. From the entry sequence to the main dining area and bar, timber elements create a progression of compression and release, framing views toward the lake and surrounding mountains while establishing rhythm and scale within the interior.
